Xynova (Xynova Future)
Component
Hangzhou dexterous-hand and micro-actuator supplier: Flex 1/2 hands plus the micro electric cylinders and joint modules that drive them.
Xynova (Hangzhou; founded December 2024) is a component-layer supplier for humanoid robots: high-degree-of-freedom dexterous hands plus the micro electric cylinders, precision transmissions and integrated joint modules inside them, sold both as finished hands and as actuators to other robot makers. The tendon-driven Flex 1 shipped in 2025; Flex 2 (May 2026) combines tendon and direct drive in a 23-DoF, 400 g hand with 12 kg grasp load, 4 kg rated continuous payload, ±0.1 mm repeatability and 0.05 N force control; a direct-drive Prima series followed in August 2026. A 5,400 m² plant is ramping to 10,000 hands and 200,000 micro electric cylinders a year (xynova.com.cn; 36Kr, 2026-05-29).

Evidence boundary
Original analysis and independent corroboration remain under development. Commercial scale and durable technical advantage remain under review.
What makes it defensible
Full-stack vertical integration of the hand's expensive parts - motor, electronic control, reducer, lead screw and algorithm designed together - which is what lets Xynova quote reliability and unit cost instead of degrees of freedom.
Position in the stack: Component supplier under humanoid OEMs and integrators, selling hands and the actuation inside them. The position is defensible only at manufacturing scale and yield, so the plant ramp plus automotive-style supply-chain hires (DJI, Schaeffler, KUKA, Festo, CATL) are the real moat rather than the DoF count.
Who buys it
Named customers: leading humanoid integrator (10,000+ hand order, unnamed)
Founding team
Xia Yuxuan — Founder and CEO — Born after 1995; dual undergraduate degrees in physics and computer science (University of Virginia, Columbia University); previously at Morgan Stanley and CDH Investments covering hard tech and advanced manufacturing; assembled a team spanning motor, electronic control, mechanical structure, joint module and manufacturing.
