Scout AI
Foundation model
Defense frontier-AI lab building Fury, a VLA foundation model that coordinates mixed unmanned fleets from commander intent.
Scout AI builds Fury, a defense-specific vision-language-action (VLA) foundation model intended to turn military robots into autonomous agents that interpret commander intent in natural language and issue real-time motor commands in communications- and GPS-denied environments. Rather than a per-platform perception-and-planning stack, Fury is one model family meant to generalise across vehicle types and coordinate mixed fleets across air, land, sea and space. Scout's own prototypes are the G01 unmanned ground vehicle and A01 unmanned aerial vehicle, both operating autonomously on Fury at company proving grounds. In February 2026 it introduced the Fury Autonomous Vehicle Orchestrator, extending the model from controlling one vehicle to coordinating several with a human in the loop.

Evidence boundary
Original analysis and independent corroboration remain under development. Commercial scale and durable technical advantage remain under review.
What makes it defensible
Single defense-specific VLA model instead of per-vehicle autonomy stacks — if it generalises, it collapses the integration cost that keeps military autonomy vehicle-specific.
Position in the stack: Sits above the vehicle layer as the reasoning/orchestration brain between command-and-control and heterogeneous unmanned platforms — deliberately not a prime, not an airframe maker.
