SAEKI
Integrator / OEM
Robots-as-a-service microfactories: autonomous cells that 3D-print, mill and inspect large parts near the customer.
SAEKI sells robotic microfactories as a service: autonomous cells that combine large-format 3D printing, CNC machining and inspection in one robot-driven workflow, producing large parts — architectural elements, moulds, aerospace and marine components — on demand instead of shipping them from a distant factory. The proposition is manufacturing at software speed: near-customer, largely lights-out production that cuts lead times, inventory and material waste, billed as Robots-as-a-Service rather than as capital equipment. SAEKI was founded in February 2021 and emerged from stealth in August 2023; it raised a $6.7M seed in February 2025 with Lightbird, Founderful, 2100VC and Danobat participating. No customer names have been disclosed publicly.

Evidence boundary
Original analysis and independent corroboration remain under development. Commercial scale and durable technical advantage remain under review.
What makes it defensible
Turns large-format additive plus subtractive manufacturing into a subscription: the moat is the cell integration (print, mill and inspect in one autonomous robot workflow) and the distributed microfactory network, not any single machine.
Position in the stack: Manufacturing and industrial automation layer (L4). SAEKI is the production step, not the machine-tool vendor: it sells capacity near the customer and keeps the integration, process recipes and quality data. Hard to copy because the value sits in the orchestration software and defect data across materials, which a buyer cannot assemble from a catalogue of printers and mills.
