Rejuvenation Technologies develops mRNA therapeutics that target the biology of aging, led by telomere shortening — one of the fundamental hallmarks of aging. Its approach delivers optimised telomerase (TERT) mRNA encapsulated in custom tissue-targeted lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), which the company says can rewind years of telomere shortening in stem cells in the body with a single dose. The therapy is fast-acting, transient and non-integrating (avoiding cell immortalisation) and designed to be hypoimmunogenic. Its proprietary LNP technology also delivers mRNA to the lung and liver, with preclinical efficacy shown in liver fibrosis and liver failure. The vision is a periodic therapy taken every few years to prevent and treat chronic age-related diseases, starting with fatal orphan diseases.
