Polymath Robotics
Fleet services
YC software shop selling the generic autonomy and safety stack that off-highway vehicle programmes build on.
Polymath Robotics sells core autonomy software for off-highway machines — the parts every industrial autonomy programme needs and none wants to build twice: planning, hazard detection, behaviour trees, human detection, controls tuning and the safety layer that makes an unmanned machine deployable without a safety driver. It is sensor- and vehicle-agnostic, runs on onboard compute, and is modular, so a team can take only the blocks it needs rather than a full stack. Delivery is either retrofit onto existing equipment or OEM integration into a new machine. Caladan, its simulated vehicles and environments exposed via REST API, lets developers start in simulation before hardware exists. Customers are OEMs, large fleet operators and government programmes across agriculture, mining, construction, logistics and marine.

What makes it defensible
A generalised, safety-arguable autonomy core that works across vehicle classes: the value is in edge cases already handled and the safety case, re-earned per machine type but never from zero.
Position in the stack: Software layer (pa-9) that sits inside other companies' vehicles rather than selling machines, so the moat is breadth of validated platforms plus the safety argument, not hardware.
