Osaro
Component
Warehouse picking software — SightWorks perception plus AutoModel — sold as retrofittable cells for picking, bagging and kitting.
OSARO sells robotic piece-picking systems built on a software core: SightWorks, its perception platform, and AutoModel, which learns new SKUs on the fly without registration or retraining downtime. The product set covers the four highest-variability fulfilment tasks — piece picking, bagging, kitting and mixed-case depalletisation — plus HyperCare, a monitoring and optimisation service. The architecture is deliberately hardware-agnostic: OSARO integrates with commodity arms and existing lines rather than selling a proprietary robot, so a 3PL or retailer can retrofit automation into a brownfield distribution centre. The company's claim is that generalisation from minimal training data, not mechanical speed, is the binding constraint in high-mix fulfilment, and that perception is where the margin sits.

Evidence boundary
Original analysis and independent corroboration remain under development. Commercial scale and durable technical advantage remain under review.
What makes it defensible
SKU-generalising perception: picking works on items the model has never seen, which is the exact failure mode of fixed automation and the reason deployments do not stall on catalogue onboarding.
Position in the stack: Software layer over commodity hardware (pa-10): it captures the intelligence in the cell while arm, gripper and AMR stay replaceable — defensible through accumulated per-site pick data rather than hardware lock-in.
