Fabless Wi-Fi HaLow (802.11ah) chipmaker: sub-GHz Wi-Fi with ~10x range and multi-year battery life for IoT.
Morse Micro is a fabless semiconductor company building Wi-Fi HaLow (IEEE 802.11ah) chips: sub-GHz Wi-Fi designed for IoT, with roughly 10x the range of conventional Wi-Fi and multi-year battery life. Products centre on the MM6108 and MM8108 SoCs, plus modules, reference designs, evaluation kits and an SDK, aimed at surveillance, access control, industrial automation, smart metering, agriculture and mobile devices. The company helped define the Wi-Fi HaLow category and holds the first HaLow chip to pass Wi-Fi Alliance certification. Founded in Sydney by former Broadcom Wi-Fi chip designers, it sells through module partners and distributors - Quectel among them - with offices in the US, China, India and Japan.

Evidence boundary
Original analysis and independent corroboration remain under development. Commercial scale and durable technical advantage remain under review.
What makes it defensible
One of very few teams with a certified Wi-Fi HaLow SoC in volume, built by engineers who designed Wi-Fi radios that shipped in billions of phones.
Position in the stack: Sits in the connectivity silicon layer that every HaLow IoT device must pass through; the moat is RF/PHY design IP plus standard-body and certification position, not assembly.
