microagi
Data & simulation
Munich robotics-deployment company whose Atlas platform fine-tunes robots on each factory's own data.
microagi is a robotics deployment company. Atlas, its data and deployment platform, captures training-grade data on live production lines, multiplies it in simulation, fine-tunes a model on that plant's edge cases, and puts robots to work with forward-deployed engineers. The company says Atlas is hardware- and model-agnostic, with partners including NVIDIA and Unitree, so a manufacturer is not locked to one robot or one foundation model. A consumer data-collection arm called shift sits alongside the industrial business. microagi announced a $55 million seed on 16 July 2026, led by Hummingbird with Northzone, LocalGlobe, Village Global and redalpine, about ten months after founding. HQ is Munich, with a research hub in Zurich and offices in London and New York. No named factory customers are disclosed.

Evidence boundary
Original analysis and independent corroboration remain under development. Commercial scale and durable technical advantage remain under review.
What makes it defensible
The last-mile deployment layer that turns a robot demo into unsupervised line work using that factory's own operational data.
Position in the stack: Sits between robot/model vendors and industrial plants as a neutral data-and-deployment integrator. Hard to copy because it requires on-site engineers, plant-data rights and a hardware-agnostic fine-tune loop rather than a single robot SKU.
Who buys it
Founding team
Bercan Kilic — Founder and CEO — Former aerodynamics engineer at Red Bull Racing; founded microagi in 2025 to apply Formula 1-style reliability under pressure to factory robot deployment
Nico Nussbaum — CTO — Engineer from RWTH Aachen; company seed announcement quotes him as CTO responsible for putting engineers on site so Atlas learns from live operations

Microagi nabs $55M to teach factory robots how to work
What this source supports: $55M seed led by Hummingbird (Northzone, LocalGlobe, Village Global, Redalpine participating); Munich; founded ~10 months earlier by ex-Red Bull/Mercedes-AMG F1 engineers; product "Atlas" is a robotics data & deployment layer (builds neither robots nor models); company says five customers are collecting data, one preparing deployment.
What it does not establish: No named customers, contract values, or revenue; the customer count is company-stated.

An F1 engineer quit Red Bull to build an army of factory robots
What this source supports: Founder profile: Bercan Kilic (former Red Bull Racing aerodynamicist) and the factory-robot training-data thesis; company says five companies are collecting data through Atlas.
What it does not establish: Founder-narrative profile; no independent financials or named customers.

UK and Germany launch industrial tech corridor to accelerate AI and deeptech growth
What this source supports: tech.eu reports MicroAGI (Munich robotics research company) will expand its London footprint, creating 180 new high-paid jobs, as one of the first companies capitalising on the UK-Germany Industrial Tech Corridor launched during the PM's Berlin visit on 2026-10-08.
What it does not establish: Names the intent and the count only — no site, lease, capex or timeline; the figure is not independently audited and the company has ~88 employees today.

First ever UK-Germany tech corridor unlocks investment, jobs and opportunity for British business
What this source supports: Primary government release on the corridor: a flagship initiative under the Kensington Treaty, backed by Allianz, Bosch, RWE and Siemens, plus a EUR 20M joint quantum research pot, intended to connect high-growth tech companies with German industrial partners and investors.
What it does not establish: Government-side context only — MicroAGI is not named in this release; it evidences the policy backdrop, not the company's expansion.
