Luxonis
Component
OAK edge-AI cameras that run neural inference and stereo depth on-device for robots and factories.
Luxonis builds the OAK (OpenCV AI Kit) family of spatial AI cameras and the open-source DepthAI stack. Devices combine on-camera neural inference, stereo depth and optional ToF, IMU and IR illumination so robots and industrial systems get perception without a server or per-frame cloud bill. The line runs from early OAK-1/OAK-D Kickstarter cameras through industrial PoE models to the Series 4 / OAK 4 generation (company-stated 52 TOPS and hexa-core ARM). Software includes the DepthAI API, fleet/deployment tooling and ready applications such as box dimensioning and barcode reading. Target industries listed by the company include manufacturing, logistics, agriculture, AMR/robotics, healthcare, retail and smart cities. Company-reported scale: 6M+ SDK downloads, presence in 110+ countries and 65+ of the Fortune 500 (unnamed).

Evidence boundary
Original analysis and independent corroboration remain under development. Commercial scale and durable technical advantage remain under review.
What makes it defensible
A standalone camera that does stereo depth plus neural inference at the edge — the vision module robot and automation builders can drop in without a GPU box.
Position in the stack: Component supplier of edge vision hardware and an open SDK under AMR, cobot and industrial-automation OEMs. The position is hard to copy because hardware, on-device runtime and a large open developer base are coupled.
