Level Zero Health

Biosensor measurement layer for endocrine biomarkers: disposable DNA-aptamer patch plus handheld reader and data layer that converts interstitial fluid into hormone time-series for clinicians, IVF/TRT practices and clinical researchers. · United Kingdom

levelzerohealth.com

London-based medtech building a DNA-aptamer skin patch that measures hormones from interstitial fluid in minutes, with no blood draw and no lab.

Level Zero Health is developing a lab-free hormone measurement platform. Its first product is a single-use patch applied to the skin for 10-15 minutes, read by a compact handheld unit and then discarded; each patch measures one analyte from interstitial fluid. The analytes named by the company are estradiol, progesterone, LH, cortisol and testosterone. A longer-horizon product is a minimally invasive arm-worn patch with microneedles intended to deliver continuous, real-time readings, tentatively targeted for 2028. The commercial model is B2B - technology sold into healthcare provider networks, starting with IVF monitoring and testosterone replacement therapy - plus research partnerships and, eventually, a hormone-health dataset.

Evidence boundary

Original analysis and independent corroboration remain under development. Commercial scale and durable technical advantage remain under review.

Hormone measurement is bottlenecked by venipuncture: every data point needs a clinic, a phlebotomist and a laboratory, which caps sampling frequency and makes hormone dynamics effectively invisible outside a lab. Level Zero claims to remove that dependency by measuring the hormone itself - not a proxy - directly in interstitial fluid with DNA-aptamer biosensors, in minutes, anywhere.

Sits upstream of clinical decision-making as the sensing/measurement layer: it supplies the disposable sensor, the reader and the resulting data to IVF clinics, TRT/endocrine practices and clinical research organisations, aiming to displace send-out lab immunoassays for frequent-sampling use cases rather than sell direct to consumers.

  • Level Zero Health banks $6.9M to prove wearable medtech can take the strain out of hormone testing

What this source supports: Oversubscribed $6.9M pre-seed led by Redalpine with HAX (SOSV) and Entrepreneur First; dual-track strategy (single-use intermittent patch for prescription use, continuous wearable targeted 2028); B2B sale into provider networks; FDA and CE ambitions.

What it does not establish: No valuation, no revenue, no customer names, no clinical data; the 98% figure is not an accuracy result here.

  • For the first time, we've shown that clinical-grade hormone measurement without a blood draw is possible

What this source supports: Company-announced first demonstration of clinical-grade, lab-free hormone measurement from interstitial fluid via a single-use skin patch covering E2, P4, LH, cortisol and testosterone; opens partner intake; states it is not a commercial launch.

What it does not establish: No n, no study design, no comparator statistics, no peer-reviewed paper, no verified final hardware - a claim, not evidence.

  • Why Continuous Hormone Monitoring Could Transform Women's Health Monitoring

What this source supports: Places Level Zero among the eight SPRIND Stage 1 teams, described as a 'skin-worn electrochemical patch'; contextualises the EUR 40M challenge and the $325.7M (2025) continuous-hormone-monitoring market.

What it does not establish: Single-sentence treatment of Level Zero; no diligence on its data and no independent verification of its claims.
