UWB real-time location and sensor systems for factory, logistics and sports analytics.

KINEXON builds real-time location and sensor systems: UWB tags, anchors, wearables and an edge/cloud operating layer that locate people, vehicles, tools and work-in-progress to centimeter accuracy and turn that stream into process analytics and automation. Commercial lines cover production and logistics (intralogistics tracking, AMR/AGV coordination, tool and material flow, safety zones), sports (player and ball tracking for performance and broadcast data) and media/venue operations. It sells hardware plus software to manufacturers and sports organizations; the company reports annual triple-digit growth and lists Cisco, AWS and Cognizant as industry partners. It has raised $130M, a round led by Thomas H. Lee Partners with BMW i Ventures and Deutsche Telekom's TIP participating, plus €15M of venture debt from the European Investment Bank.

Evidence boundary

Original analysis and independent corroboration remain under development. Commercial scale and durable technical advantage remain under review.

Centimeter-level UWB positioning hardened for industrial environments: accuracy is the product, and it comes from RF/antenna design plus a real-time operating layer - Wi-Fi and BLE competitors lose the multipath fight on metal-dense factory floors.

Sensing and positioning layer under the factory execution stack: it produces the real-time location stream that MES, automation and AMR fleets consume. Defensible because tag/anchor hardware, site calibration know-how and the installed base are physical assets, and the accumulated process data feeds analytics competitors cannot bootstrap.

Industrial Infrastructure Owners

BMW, Continental, Siemens, Airbus

Alexander Hüttenbrink — Co-Founder (Managing Director) — Co-founded KINEXON in 2012; conceived the idea after a tour of the Allianz Arena showed how cumbersome performance-data capture was, while doing a doctorate at the TUM School of Management.

Oliver Trinchera — Co-Founder and Co-CEO — Co-founder and managing director; TUM School of Management doctorate, developed the original concept with Hüttenbrink and is the company's public voice on the real-time IoT operating system.

Maximilian Schmidt — Co-Founder — Named as a co-founder in press coverage of KINEXON's 2012 founding in Munich.
