General Intuition
Data & simulation
Frontier AI lab training world models on gameplay data so agents learn to act in space and time.
General Intuition is a frontier research lab spun out of Medal, the game-clip platform, that trains foundation models on video-game footage so agents learn spatial reasoning and how to act in space and time rather than only predict text. Its stated thesis is that today's models are 'book smart' and must become 'street smart' by learning commonsense physics from realistic virtual playgrounds. In June 2026 it released MIRA, a playable multiplayer world model trained on 10,000 hours of data collected with publicly available bots, learning four-player Rocket League dynamics and running in real time at 20 fps - built with Kyutai in collaboration with Epic Games. The company raised a $133.7M seed led by Khosla Ventures and General Catalyst with Raine participating.

Evidence boundary
Original analysis and independent corroboration remain under development. Commercial scale and durable technical advantage remain under review.
What makes it defensible
Ownership of a very large gameplay-video corpus and the world-model research built on it - training data that language and web-video models cannot substitute for.
Position in the stack: World-model and foundation-model layer supplying spatial reasoning to agents, robots and game studios. Defensible because the dataset originates from a proprietary game-clip platform rather than public web data.
