Federated Wireless runs shared-spectrum infrastructure. It operates a Spectrum Access System — the cloud service that authorises and coordinates CBRS transmissions in the 3.5 GHz band so incumbents, priority-access holders and general-authorised users can share it without interference — and has extended into 6 GHz Automated Frequency Coordination. On top of that regulatory role it sells private 5G and LTE network deployments to enterprises and integrators, and increasingly positions itself as an AI-driven spectrum planning and optimisation layer. Because CBRS cannot be used without an approved SAS, Federated sits at a chokepoint every private-network builder in the band must pass through. It was founded in 2012.
