Edge Aerospace
Physical AI
Luxembourg startup building space-qualified orbital data-processing units for in-orbit compute and autonomy.
Edge Aerospace develops space-qualified Data Processing Units (DPUs) for orbital operations - hardware that brings command-and-control, data handling, AI-enabled autonomy and even orbital-scale compute to satellites. Its E-Series DPUs are fully qualified for space and designed for volume manufacturing and fast delivery, aimed at processing data on-orbit to ease the downlink bottleneck and enable distributed orbital-compute networks. Founded in September 2024 and based in Luxembourg, Edge launched its first demonstration mission on SpaceX's Transporter-16 rideshare (March 2026), validating in-orbit operation, and holds contracts with ESA, the European Defence Fund, the Luxembourg Space Agency and the Luxembourg Ministry of Defence.
