D-Robotics
Component · CN
Shanghai maker of RDK robotics dev kits and Sunrise BPU edge-AI silicon from 5 to 128 TOPS, with a ROS 2 toolchain.
D-Robotics builds the compute and development infrastructure that robots are prototyped and shipped on: the RDK family of robotics development kits, the Sunrise BPU AI accelerator behind them, an operating-system image, and a toolchain for model compression and on-device deployment. The line runs from RDK X3 at 5 TOPS and RDK X5 at 10 TOPS — Raspberry Pi-compatible boards aimed at makers and cost-sensitive products — up to the RDK S100 module at 80+ TOPS, whose heterogeneous design runs perception inference and real-time motion control together for embodied intelligence. A library of 200+ open-source algorithms and ROS 2 packages with hardware acceleration, plus a large developer community, completes the stack. The company is based in Shanghai.

Evidence boundary
Original analysis and independent corroboration remain under development. Commercial scale and durable technical advantage remain under review.
What makes it defensible
Its own AI accelerator plus Raspberry Pi-compatible boards and a ROS 2 toolchain — a silicon-to-software ladder that generic edge-AI module vendors cannot match at maker price points.
Position in the stack: Edge compute silicon and dev-kit layer: it is what robotics startups and cost-sensitive Chinese OEMs actually build on, sitting below the finished robot and above the fab.
