Agile Robots SE
Integrator / OEM · DE
DLR spin-off selling force-torque-controlled arms, mobile platforms and the Agile ONE humanoid into industrial production lines.
Agile Robots builds force-torque-controlled industrial robot arms, autonomous mobile transport platforms and turnkey factory automation, all designed around torque sensing in every joint plus computer vision rather than position-only control — the German Aerospace Center lightweight-robot lineage commercialised. It sells complete production cells and the integration around them, not just hardware: arms and mobile platforms are coordinated by its AgileCore software, and the Agile ONE industrial humanoid was added in 2026 to work inside that same production system. Buyers are automotive, electronics, healthcare and service manufacturers plus the integrators who build their lines. It also owns Franka Emika, acquired out of insolvency in November 2023, which widened its research and laboratory-automation installed base.

Evidence boundary
Original analysis and independent corroboration remain under development. Commercial scale and durable technical advantage remain under review.
What makes it defensible
Two decades of DLR torque-control and dexterous-hand IP embedded in every joint — the force-control stack is the part integrators cannot buy off the shelf.
Position in the stack: Integrator/OEM layer: it sells the arm, the mobile base and the cell integration as one system, and the position is defended by calibration and force-control software proven across demanding lines rather than by the metal.
