iShares Semiconductor ETF (SOXX) is a passively managed fund issued by iShares, the ETF franchise of BlackRock. It tracks the NYSE Semiconductor Index, a modified market-cap-weighted benchmark of U.S.-listed semiconductor companies spanning the design, manufacturing, and equipment segments of the chip value chain. SOXX is a near-identical semis lens to SMH, with more than a dozen mapped companies at weight. In the PXS map, SOXX (alongside SMH) is a primary public expression of the Physical AI universe's compute-and-sensing layer. Coverage is limited to direct, issuer-reported positions in already-mapped companies, not the complete portfolio, and this is a research map rather than a recommendation. SOXX is most useful for seeing where a broad semiconductor index places weight across the mapped compute names, complementing SMH's more concentrated large-cap approach. Its largest mapped positions are AMD (9.40%), Micron (7.68%), NVIDIA (7.63%), and Broadcom (7.13%), a somewhat more balanced spread than SMH across the mapped semiconductor value chain.
