Fund summary

Strategy

ARKK supplies the broader, cross-sector active ETF comparison for this pilot. Its issuer holdings file overlaps mapped companies in several research areas, so the page exposes the limits of treating a broad innovation label as a single industrial-stack allocation.

Stated focus

Cross-sector disruptive innovation.

ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK) is the flagship actively managed thematic fund of ARK Investment Management LLC, the firm founded by Cathie Wood, and is issued through the ARK ETF Trust. Unlike a passive index vehicle, ARKK has no benchmark: its managers select a concentrated, cross-sector portfolio of companies they believe sit at the centre of "disruptive innovation" — across genomic, autonomous, and next-generation internet themes. In the PXS map, ARKK serves as the broad, cross-universe comparison point. Its issuer holdings file overlaps mapped companies in several research areas at once, which is exactly why it is valuable: it exposes the limits of treating a broad innovation label as a single industrial-stack allocation. The page shows only direct, issuer-reported positions in companies already covered by PXS, not the complete portfolio, and it is not a recommendation to buy the fund. Coverage is intentionally limited to the mapped subset, and companies outside the research registry are omitted even where they carry large weights in the issuer file. This makes ARKK useful for finding where a published portfolio intersects an existing research question without implying that every constituent is a pure exposure to that question. Layer classifications come from each company's own record, not from the issuer.
