ROBO Global Robotics & Automation ETF (ROBO) is a passively managed thematic fund issued by ROBO Global and advised by Exchange Traded Concepts. It tracks the ROBO Global Robotics and Automation Index, a tiered-weight global benchmark of roughly 90 companies across industrial automation, robotics components, and enabling software (with an approximate 47% industrials / 42% technology split). ROBO is the broadest "embodied intelligence" vehicle in the map — the robotics-and-automation complement to the semiconductor-led Physical AI coverage (SMH/SOXX). In the PXS map, ROBO qualifies on its top-ten holdings: several mapped companies (including Intuitive Surgical, Illumina, PTC, Rockwell Automation, Novanta, and Teradyne) sit within its top-ten even though none clears a strict weight threshold, a consequence of its more equal-weight construction. Coverage is limited to direct, issuer-reported positions in already-mapped companies, not the complete portfolio, and this is a research map rather than a recommendation. ROBO is most useful for the breadth it adds to the Physical AI robotics-and-automation layer. Because ROBO is near-flat-weight (its top holding, Intuitive Surgical, is roughly 2.0%), six of its top-ten and nine of its top-25 holdings are mapped companies — broad, non-concentrated Physical AI coverage rather than a concentrated play.

Start here

  • ROBO is flat-weight (top holding Intuitive Surgical at ~2.0%), so mapped-company exposure is thin and non-concentrated — treat as a broad coverage node, not a concentrated play.
  • 6 of its top-10 holdings are mapped companies (ISRG, ILMN, PTC, ROK, NOVT, TER); 9 mapped names total in the top 25.
  • Physical AI is the dominant mapped-universe (8 of 9 holdings); Illumina (ILMN) is the lone healthspan name.

Open questions

  • Full 90-holding file not yet captured — stockanalysis top-25 only; positions 26-90 are all <1.41% and mostly non-US (Japan/Europe), but issuer CSV needed for completeness.
  • Foreign-heavy index: Fanuc, Keyence, SMC, Harmonic Drive, Yaskawa, Hon Hai, Hexagon are non-US and un-mappable under the US-listed-only rule.
  • Holds a leveraged ETF (Tradr 2X Long CELH, CELT) at 1.73% — an odd constituent worth flagging in monitoring.
