iShares U.S. Medical Devices ETF (IHI) is a passively managed fund issued by iShares, the ETF franchise of BlackRock. It tracks the Dow Jones U.S. Select Medical Equipment Index, a benchmark of U.S. companies that manufacture and distribute medical devices, instruments, and diagnostics. IHI is the Healthspan "intervene" lens on devices and diagnostics: its mapped positions are anchored by Abbott, Intuitive Surgical, and Medtronic, spanning the tools used to diagnose, monitor, and intervene in human health. In the PXS map, IHI expresses the Healthspan universe's device-and-diagnostic layer, distinct from IBB's therapeutic tilt and ARKG's tools-and-sequencing concentration. Coverage is limited to direct, issuer-reported positions in already-mapped companies, not the complete portfolio, and this is a research map rather than a recommendation. IHI is most useful for seeing where the largest medical-device vehicle's index weight lands across the mapped Healthspan device companies. Its largest mapped positions are Abbott (17.7%), Intuitive Surgical (15.38%), Medtronic (11.63%), and ResMed (4.59%) — a heavy large-cap concentration in the mapped device-and-diagnostic leaders.
